Thanks! The photo captured the blast better than it looks in real life but I love the lines, proportions and the silver band. It was a must have addition to the collection.

Thanks! Yes it was estate pipe I got from smokershaven.com. Condition was “near mint”, and I think that was a fair description.
My newly acquired “vergin” Castello.
Smoking this Castello, I notice the quality right away. This pipe feels very solid and well constructed and balanced. I think there is a magic to Castello. There’s something special about the feel of this smoker. Having only smoked vulcanite-s, I’m also surprised by the comfort of the acrylic bit.
My lack of self control = another “unicorn” brucianaso.

It’s super unique I think…at least the two-toned wood. They’ve used boxwood here and there, but I’ve not seen one so skillfully mixed.
Yup! I’d love to score a second at some point, but I really only use it to display for pictures. It fits the #10s so perfectly.

Recent eBay acquisition: an unsmoked Canadian pipe of the year, number 4 of 20, made for the 2005 tobacco trade show in New Orleans. It's a large pipe (8 inches, 98 grams) with an engraved silver plaque on the bottom. Sometimes the prices on eBay are far better than the retail prices of recent pipes of lesser quality and rarity.
