I'm Enjoying Seeing Some Great Looking Wood!
The Latest 2025 Castello acquisitions to my G, GG, GGG15 collection. The Old Antiquari with the silver band was a must have pipe that was made possible by @Sigmund. The seller wouldn't ship to my location but @Sigmund did me a big favor and took delivery and reshipped the pipe to me. Much Appreciated!
The magnificent GG15 Flame is from the first edition series. A perfect shape 15 with the rustic tool marks and plateau top make this a highlight of the collection! @npod surprised me when he called me out and presented me with the pipe at his once in a lifetime all access Photo Tour Presentation of the Castello Shop in Cantu. It was a very special day especially surrounded by many of my friends!

Stunning Dave and sometimes you need a bit of magic to secure those rare ones. Well done to you and @npod for making this happen 😍

Thanks! The photo captured the blast better than it looks in real life but I love the lines, proportions and the silver band. It was a must have addition to the collection.

Nice acquisition, welcome, and happy (belated) birthday!!

I like the smooth rim. Was it an estate? You said "new (to me)." Looks to be in real nice shape
Thanks! Yes it was estate pipe I got from smokershaven.com. Condition was “near mint”, and I think that was a fair description.

Smoking this Castello, I notice the quality right away. This pipe feels very solid and well constructed and balanced. I think there is a magic to Castello. There’s something special about the feel of this smoker. Having only smoked vulcanite-s, I’m also surprised by the comfort of the acrylic bit.

Congrats sir; immensely sweat. Love the stemwork !
It’s super unique I think…at least the two-toned wood. They’ve used boxwood here and there, but I’ve not seen one so skillfully mixed.
Nice! Looks like you have it displayed on a Castello Pipe stand.
Yup! I’d love to score a second at some point, but I really only use it to display for pictures. It fits the #10s so perfectly.

So, it's a wooden stem and not an acrylic one ?
It should not get any crazier.

Recent eBay acquisition: an unsmoked Canadian pipe of the year, number 4 of 20, made for the 2005 tobacco trade show in New Orleans. It's a large pipe (8 inches, 98 grams) with an engraved silver plaque on the bottom. Sometimes the prices on eBay are far better than the retail prices of recent pipes of lesser quality and rarity.IMG_8439.jpegIMG_8440.jpegIMG_8442.jpeg
