Well, the Castello that I've been waiting to find for quite some time now, arrived at the beginning of the year. (Just getting round to posting it)

The elusive Shape 34 in Sea Rock, GG.

Fired it up last night with a bowl full of Three Nuns. Great smoke, as expected, and I should also add that I was extremely pleased with the comfort of the stem. As we know, Castello bits/buttons can be quite thick, but this one is very thin, I guess that it may have been worked on by the previous owner, either way, I'm happy.

You got a Great Looking 34! It's a fine example of the shape. I will continue to keep an eye out for more 34's for you.

I had my eye on this unsmoked Castello Epoca 3 5/8's" stack 74 for months and I finally shot the guy an offer that he accepted. It will have a happy home in the collection.

Thanks Dave!
Yeah. I'm pretty pleased with it. Appreciate your taking the time to keep a look out for me, thanks.
Great looking stack you picked up, made even more so by the wax carving. Nice!

Just acquired this Castello flame from SP Estates. I was looking for a large Castello bulldog so when this one popped up, and happened also to be a flame, I jumped on it. It was fairly priced but I traded two Wolfgang Beckers and a Castello 55 with gold and lacquer band to make it more affordable. The pipe was made in 2002, weighs 96gm and has a lovely, subtle "gouged" surface that gives it a handmade feel.

I wonder if a member of this forum was its previous owner. If so, I'm very grateful he kept it in such good condition (including keeping the box and sock) and decided to finally part with itIMG_7029.jpeg Flame 1.pngFlame 2.pngFlame 3.pngFlame 4.png

Nice Acquisition! I love the early standard shape flames with the rustic little touches.

3 years into pipe smoking and these are my Castello. I love them for their exceptional briar, smoke qualities, price point and resale value. I’ve tried many other brands and can only come to terms with Castello. I smoke VA/Vaper 99% of the time. I am still in search of other pipe brands that can rival but sadly it’s tough. I do have a collection of Northern Briar Sea Urchins in various size and they do match up. Some Danes for bragging rights and birth year pipes for the keepsake.
