Got this from TC just before Georged posted the gorgeous pictures of his Dunhill. I guess this is Castello's edition. I was wanting a second Castello. Saw this shape and style that I hadn't seen before from Castello so punched the button. Won't break it in till after all this Corona mess is over. Hope it's a keeper! Hoppes

A Sea Rock G 365 arrived today from Smoking Pipes. The “3” prefix was used for a few years to designate the combination rusticated/smooth finish before they decided to stamp such pipes with the Greek letter pi. The bowl is more egg shaped than is usual for a 65, though not unique. Seller pictures.

The Mailman just dropped this off today. My first ever Castello, a KK bent billiard with an oval-ish shank and Sea Rock finish. It would be shape 35, I believe, if they still did shape numbers. I like the way the pipe looks, but the drilling is questionable as the draught hole is a bit off and the pipe cleaner I ran through earlier comes in at a bit of an angle. Going to break it in with some GL Pease Triple Play and hope it doesn't affect the smoking qualities.

Oh, I should mention that I got it from SP.EU, and the staff there helped me out with some great service as part of their festivities the weekend before last.

I've been slowly but surely working on a seven day set of 58s. Or 54s? I've seen them referred to as both. From what I can tell, 58 is an older number and 54 more modern. Ca n'a pas. When I talk about them I call them "my 58s" simply because I like saying that out loud more. Sounds wicked cool. But I do think 54 is more accurate. Either way, o' enigmatic castello riddlers, the squat bent bulldog. I find it to be such a beautiful shape, especially in profile. They seem to like to playing around with it a bit too - mixed finishes and pi's cropping up fairly often. Not the most common shape either, making it easier on the wallet to chase. Which is good because I'm totally lying to myself about stopping at seven (come on Le Dune! Or Preziosa, dang).

If anyone else has some 58s (54s), I'd love to see photos. I like to covet as much as I like to collect ha ha! (Almost).

Why not return it? If a cheap estate no,but $100.00 and over is a return for me. . . that is if weird shit can be avoided by the shippers in shipping. If I were still ordering I would have stopped all international orders.
