Is that a stem repair on the amber? If so, I think it is really tasteful
Dear , I am not sure of that... looks it's made in factory.
but . I don't understand the use of this thing, maybe to prevent the amber edge from chipping?

Welcome @13825253465 from Sydney, Oz
Always nice to have another devotee of Old Britwoods onboard
Do post the rest of your collection
We are addicted to (pipe) porn here on the Forums 😁
Thanks to your encouragement.
after two years, I finally managed to reach a small collection of "old English pipes" .
I read almost every post of Mr Barnes (wishing him all the best in heaven).
And I will try to start a post to show off my small collection (collecting pipes is a lonely hobby in China)...

I'm currently waiting on the arrival of an 1889 Louis Blumfeld meerschaum pipe as well. It should be somewhere over the Atlantic now.
How can you tell its American made? I don't know much about this brand

Happy Holidays, here is a BBB churchwarden I cleaned up over the summer. Couldn't find much information history wise about it but it's a nice looking pipe regardless.
