I received this Blakemar Sir Douglas (Litchbruyere grade) today
My interest in Lovats was piqued when I came across a few older threads on Blakemar and Lovats.
Unfortunately none were available for quite a while.
And when they became available, the site wouldn’t accept payment from outside the UK

Well the good news is that Blakemar’s new site is up and running.
I put in my order on the 14th November and this lobbed in today.

I’ve had this Bulldog (a Litchbruyere as well, and one of my earliest Bulldogs) for a few years.
Lightweight and a very good smoker

Now that the USD is at a high, you guys in the USA should take a look at Mike‘s pipes. They are so well priced for the quality

PS There is an older Blakemar Pipes thread, but that is closed.
Perhaps the Moderators can resurrect that thread and incorporate this

You got one at last! Congratulations on a fine looking Sir Douglas.👍
If you’re anything like me, you’ll reach for it often.

Mine’s a De Luxe, which is nice but a lower grade than the Litchbruyere.
Flaming Aussies, always besting us poms at something. Cricket, Rugby & now pipes!😄

I'm really glad you created this thread! I have a few hand made English pipes (Invicta, Northern, Ashton - yet to get an Askwith) but I didn't have a Blakemar! @simong convinced me to get this Canadian at the UK pipe show (actually just after the show) and it's honestly one of the best smoking pipes I own (and significantly cheaper than the others mentioned above). I will certainly be buying more Blakemars.398263675_757697832849686_5098674999404192026_n.jpg

How do we look at his pipes? I'm sure I could Google it. However, threads over a year old we're getting closed for a while, so this is a perfect start up to a new one!

The website was redesigned sometime in the last few years and I find the current version a huge step backward, but you can see pipes that are available on the current site.

I forgot to mention that in a previous thread (on Blakemar Pipes) ex-Forums member Jensen mentioned he had "103 smoked and 43 unsmoked Blakemars" 😵‍💫

Now is that an obsession or not ? 🤔
Other than Jesse (@sablebrush52 - Barlings) and Tim (@ashdigger - Petersons) I wonder how many members have 150 pipes of any one brand ?

This is mine.
I bought this Litchbruyere Rhodesian in about early ‘98.
$40 plus shipping.
To be honest, it’s one of my best smokers. It’s dedicated to Lat blends so I just don’t get to it often.
Winter is near, I need to dig it out for some WhiteKnight.

You’re not looking hard enough, they’re all still there. Look under Miscellaneous & English in the Estates section. Most of the Blakemars there belonged to late forum member Jensen, who @OzPiper mentioned in his previous post.
I don’t see that section on the Blakemar site 🙈
