gwtwdbss got the right thread. That's the way I post pics in my threads. If you can't get it figured out, pm me the link to the picture in your album and I'll post it for you.

That is one great pipe! I understand wanting to keep it perfect but I'd have to say smoke it. The perfect tobacco for it? MacBarren's Highland Blend.

Smoke it. Things will be very different on Earth when your children grow up and have families. If you want it to stay whiter, remove the wax with a strong alcoholic beverage. I use Perry's TOT 114 proof gin for cleaning & dewaxing pipes.

Hmmmm the highland cream suggestion is a great one! I love that stuff. I really think that bottle of 12 year old Macallen Scotch is calling out for this maiden voyage smoke too.

Smoke it. Your grandkids will treasure it more knowing that this was something there Grandpa smoked and used, especially if they see you smoking it. I wish that I could have seen my grandfather hunt with his Winchester 1892 that I now shoot around my grandkids. Memories are made right now.

I like the idea of the meerschaum staying white, but it's also cool to see it change color over time as well. If you have a nice rotation of pipes and other meerschaum pipes then I can see the benefit of leaving it un-smoked, but if it was your only one then I would say go for it.
