Sort of what I was leaning towards as well. I always heard how great ABs are but this one looked a little fragile. If it were a spigot that would be a different story

"Pull the plug" is a euphemism for putting an end to something unpleasant or otherwise doomed. Hopefully you meant "pull the trigger", which still has morbid roots but usually in more of a positive direction!
