I purchased some SG Hansom Flake and really wasn't sure if I would like it, because I'm more of a Burley smoker than a Va/Per smoker. I like to try and enjoy a little of all the tobaccos out there. To my surprise I liked Hansom Flake. After I finally got it going, it smoked well, didn't bite and had a good flavor. I don't know if I will reorder, but I'm sure I will enjoy the rest of the tin.

I actually popped a tin of Hansom Flake last week. First time for me trying it. It is a nice mild Va/Per blend, but I detected zero Lakeland essence. I thought that there would be some there given the description as I really enjoy that flavor in the little bit of Bob's Square Cut that I have been able to get, but not so in the Hansom Flake. Still a good blend though.

My flakes were pretty shredded up already like a partial flake, so I mostly just made sure it was a bit drier than usual, kind of wadded and stuffed it in a cob, and had no fuss with it. I was a bit surprised about that, and quite pleased.

Working through my first tin now and enjoying it immensely. Tin lid had popped off in the shipping box and it’s as dry a flake as I’ve ever smoked - but I’m planning to buy more for sure. Very enjoyable. I hear it is in a similar vein to both Stonehenge and G&H Louisiana Flake - both of which I own, but have yet to smoke. The joys of discovery!
