Thanks lordnoble. This Pipe is really a bit of a mystery. I purchased it

from a guy in Australia, who had purchased it in an antique store in Germany

years ago. The origin is thought to be from GUSTAV RINCKE of HAMBURG.

Ben Rapaport has this name in his International Academy of the Pipe Data Base,

but it's unknown if he was a Carver or a Seller. These matters of identification

can be a real hunt. Floyd Norwood made a new bit for the Pipe and opened up

the draft, while keeping the original bone screw connector. It has cleaned up

nicely and is coloring rapidly with the use of Beeswax.
