Thanks lordnoble. This Pipe is really a bit of a mystery. I purchased it
from a guy in Australia, who had purchased it in an antique store in Germany
years ago. The origin is thought to be from GUSTAV RINCKE of HAMBURG.
Ben Rapaport has this name in his International Academy of the Pipe Data Base,
but it's unknown if he was a Carver or a Seller. These matters of identification
can be a real hunt. Floyd Norwood made a new bit for the Pipe and opened up
the draft, while keeping the original bone screw connector. It has cleaned up
nicely and is coloring rapidly with the use of Beeswax.
