Seller Doesn't Accept Returns: Deal Breaker For You?

Specifically with ebay, but is this a deal breaker for you? Or do you just roll the dice and hope for the best?

I guess for me it depends on the price. If it is something I can afford to lose, I'm not worried. If it is a higher ticket item, it might be.

depends on the product. If it's something I would not want to buy it if someone else returned it. Then I feel more accepting of it.

I just paid an extra $10 for the exact same vinyl record someone else was selling because the cheaper seller had a no return policy.

While you could probably get your money back from eBay with a claim, a return policy is worth avoiding a headache and the extra couple bucks for me.

If it's eBay, I'm less concerned because of its money back guarantee. It's even less of a factor if the item is from overseas as I know I would not pay to return anyway. In general, I find eBay favors the buyer, so I don't let no returns deter me.

It depends on who the retailer is, the item, price, desirability, bank balance, etc. Generally, I prefer a return option but like a retail purchase at a store, sometimes I pick up a no-return item for a variety of reasons.

An additional thought. If the retailer had so little concern for customer relations, I wonder what else is wrong with his business plan. I'd seriously have to weight the risk v reward before sending moneys to such a retailer.

Exactly why I would consider It. I know ebays buyer protection is pretty solid.

Now that I know what I'm looking for as far as defects it's no deal breaker unless they fail to provide me with additional photos upon request.

I don't think ebay cares what the seller wants. If the item isn't as advertised or unsatisfactory or defective they'll force a return. Seller's hands are tied.

Yes, it's a deal breaker for me. Pictures are never a substitute for having the pipe in hand.

The seller can say what he wants, but if his offering is other than promised and meets eBay's criteria, eBay will cancel the sale, refund the buyer's money, and claw back money from the seller, regardless of what the seller says.

Not really a deal breaker. But could be a headache. Had few bad deal went down with flea bay this year. I provided enough evidence and I won all of them. But they were still hassle.

I'm more likely to buy from a seller that accepts no returns on pipes. The hell I want to be putting in my mouth something somebody else slobbered on, even if he never smoked it.

Yes, unless it's an inexpensive pipe or one that I've placed a low bid on.
