I smoke the same 2 or 3 pipes all week with just a pipe cleaner between bowls. My dad and granddad smoked the same pipe all day, every day for years. It's a pipe made of wood not a China doll. Don't let it get so hot that it burns out and swab out the gunk and you should be fine.

1. Smoked Rattray’s Exotic Passion in a Savinelli Punto Oro Mr G
2. Cooled for 5 mins
3. Immediately smoked Five Brothers in the same pipe

No issues whatsoever. I also learnt that Five Brothers is not scared ? of ghost ?

Not if you maintain your pipe and proper smoke it.️

No damage here yet! Before last August, I still smoked one pipe usually for a couple days in a row. Up to ten bowls a day back to back to....well you get it.

When I don't rotate I have to clean the pipes more throughly sooner. I say clean it up a little and let it dry a bit. I don't know if that will protect the pipe or just the smoke. That's my rule of thumb is wait till it's dry before smoking it again. I usually pick one pipe smoke it on the way to work, smoke my nosewarmer (little pipe) with something strong on break, and then the first one on the way home. No problems doing that.

I've always smoked 3-8 consecutive bowls, (depending on bowl size), in the same pipe, 1 after another, for the past 40 years or so without ill effect. Have to to get a long enough smoke out of it, (around 45 minutes). Some pipes occasionally require a pipe cleaner prior to the smoke session ending.
