One thing I have to wonder about is how much cheaper it is for them to do this as a blending kit then as pre blended. You know regardless of regulations or anything like that. Even if the blenders are paid salary it still would give them more time to do something else with their work time.
Also I get a very strong sense of this being market research on their part. Seeing how offering blending kits exclusively effects sales of a specific blends. Seeing if the sales numbers change or how much they change when offered only this way.

I don't think that putting these kits together really saves much time over mixing it. If you add in the cost of pouring and separating out a measured amount of the sauce into a small spray bottle, it probably costs more to sell it as a kit.

who knows. We'd have to see their operations. I feel like there is some reason this benefits them that isn't being listed.

Since I only smoke this blend once a month at most, I've determined I probably have enough left to last me.

That being the case, here's where you can buy some, already mixed and ready for you to jam in your smoke hole.
(P&C is currently sold out)

I believe it was made by Lane Limited Tucker Georgia back then also. I saw a video where a guy bought Lane Ready Rubbed and Trout Stream "Limited Edition" and they both had the same manufacture labels on them. It wasn't "Scotty's" Trout Stream , just TS. I searched for that tub high and low LOL! I couldn't find it. I imagine that pipesandcigars acquired the rights to the blend and started using Sutliffs tobaccos. I'm thinking the Lane version was probably better.
FYI, Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) owns both Pipes & Cigars and Lane Ltd.
Sutliff is owned by Mac Baren.

The first thread about this... Russ told us that it was because of FDA regs and shipping restraints to states that don't allow aromatics.
Hey Cosmic, do you or does anyone else know if the Hearth and Home Trout stream is about the same as the Scottys Trout stream? I was going to try 1 or 2 aromatics along with the other suggestions I was given and found, as you all have talked about that Scottys is now a blend kit and I dont want that much of something I have never tasted before. In case I dont care for it. The hearth and Home I can get a smaller quantity. Thanks in advance !
