In the 5th photo, close up of the stamping there does look like a P under the London Made.

I've got an 8 dot without a patent number as well. Actually, come to think of it, I haven't seen a patent number on one of the "rustic" pipes with 8 dots. I've been out of the Sasieni hunting game for a while though and my info is a bit rusty.

Looks like the real deal to me, as Dave points out, the tenon is drilled for the stinger and the stem appears to have the matching flat bottom profile of the shank.

Not to mention, that is definitely a Sasieni slot.

The stem and button look correct to me. Dave’s comment about the tenon is spot on. The stinger, which was removable, has gone on walk about. I’d say that it’s legit.
About 8 years ago I picked up a mint 8 dot, that had been listed as a “buy it now” about 2 minutes before I spotted it, for $40. It happens.
Congratulations!
