How come this is not available here?Yes I guess so as the ends kind of squelch out of the forming plate. As for the rest well I guess that will be for the individual smoker to decide on how they decide it smokes and what characteristics it has.

Adds a nice “insult to injury” vibe, huh?I love the message that I've been temporarily banned from the site. Makes me feel good about being a customer.
Sykes what Peterson were you smoking in this video? Was it the 317?It's literally the edges of the block cut off from heat pressing. It hasn't gone through further processing, but being on the edges means that it's been processed differently from the rest of the block because it's where the tobacco is touching the hot metal. And it is distinctly different, and we think it's rather good.
Also wanted to note that the Burnt Ends were selling for $38/box when I was able to see them in stock. Is this correct? So they weren't asking premium prices, it was actually a discount compared to FVF at $45.Good news (apart from Burnt Ends) is that FVF boxes are back in stock. I grabbed 8oz for $45, which is a significant discount compared to the 25 pounds I paid for one tin in Oxford UK back in Sept.
Copy, thanks!Yes I guess so as the ends kind of squelch out of the forming plate. As for the rest well I guess that will be for the individual smoker to decide on how they decide it smokes and what characteristics it has.
all I can do is report what I’m told, that’s why I asked you! Thanks!Well I have not spoken to any retailers about this. And there is no one else he would have talked to as everyone on holiday.
Looks like a Spigot Rua 230 (non-system 317) or 221 (non-system 314)Sykes what Peterson were you smoking in this video? Was it the 317?
She’s got a bee in her bonnet about the American market. Hence the forums presence. How come this is not available here?
The two entities are one and the same.No. Not at all. Pensioner's Mix is a Gawith Hoggarth blend, not a Samuel Gawith blend. And it is a mixture of all the bits and pieces from manufacturing. Burnt Ends is just based on FVF.
The two entities are one and the same.
Why not?Currently, yes. But only for a handful of years (hardly any, compared against the lifespans of the companies). More importantly, they were not together at the time of ingredient sourcing or recipe writing.
I'm sure some 'efficiencies' are/will be taking effect (otherwise, why merge?) but I believe her when she says a G&H blend cannot be a re-branded SG blend or visa versa.
Why not?
I got the same message. I wasn't even looking for Burnt Ends.I love the message that I've been temporarily banned from the site. Makes me feel good about being a customer.

Surely you can imagine there are commercial and legal complications and considerations that might be outside your awareness that prevent it.Why not?

Actually, no.Surely you can imagine there are commercial and legal complications and considerations that might be outside your awareness that prevent it.
They want to make money and I suspect they’re doing what they can with what they have.
Actually, no.
I have difficulty imagining things that are outside my awareness!
