I recently acquired an LCS Briars Baby Chrysalis pipe and with it came a conundrum: its freehand shape does not lend itself to 'normal' pipe stands or pouches. The overall length is nearly 8" and the bowl is just over half that length by itself, with curves and pointy bits. Does anyone have recommendations on simple but nice ways to safely display pipes like this? (I wouldn't want it to topple over and get damaged) And also anyone know of single pipe pouches that accommodate larger odd-shaped pipes?

Here's a pic for reference (more pics and description in my post over in the Pipe Talk forum):

I use something like this:

Mine are a little different but the metal is very flexible and can be bent/shaped to suit individual pipes.

I order 20-30 at a time on aliexpress to save on shipping.

I know this sounds stupid but try to find a small beanbag or hacky sack thing so that it can sit on that. The beads/sand should allow you to angle it to your preference.
you read my mind. OR in other words I second that suggestion. Though honestly I'd display that in a closed cabinet. It's strange I am a weirdo and not too traditional but for pipes I am stuck on the traditional shapes. Love the grain though.

Ok I have a slightly different take. That is one big bold bad-ass pipe; it is wild and feral, something out of the stone age -- almost like an ancient axe-pipe combo; I can imagine a manly caveman smoking that quarter pound pipe in and around his cave and resting it upon a stone....

You, too, could embrace the stone age aesthetic. Go to a freestone river and find a suitable stone; bring it home to your 'cave'; you are now embracing the fulness of your wild and free pipe.

Kill a suitable animal; you might consider using your bad-ass pipe :) But regardless use the skin to stitch yourself a pouch for your bad-ass piping tool.

Or do it the modern way and shop for stuff :)
