Damn....thought this was a joke.

This is terrible news. Thanks for letting us know. I know he had major health issues, but didn't realize how bad it was.he will go down in history on the forum. RIP my friend.

Terrible news. I once thanked Harris for a tobacco recommendation. He said “I don’t want your thanks , but toss a $20 on the bar on your way out”. Loved that guy.

Harris was such a character. He was never afraid to speak his mind. When I first joined this forum Peck and Harris had some legendary banters back and forth.

You could tell by reading his posts that although he acted a bit tough-guy-ish, he had a heart as big as they come.............

Glad he didn't suffer, and went in his sleep................ RIP Harris, the world lost a good one!!!

Ok, I’ve had a minute to process.

When I first got serious into pipes Harris was asked about which VA’s and VaPers were in the top of HIS rotation.

HIS list helped me stockpile/hoard my cellar.

I’ve never regretted one tin purchased.

That’s serious generosity on his behalf.

I also loved reading his and Pecks going rounds. Great stuff.

Oh man, that's awful. I'm sorry to hear that.
I've been meaning to call him for weeks now, he told me to on the weekends to chat pipes and stuff and I kept putting it off.
Dude knew alot and could talk non stop about tobacco and pipes. Strong opinions, but insightful and a good listener.

My condolences. I didn't know him, but I always marveled at his awesome pipe collection and would read what he had to say. I guess you could say that I liked him from a distance. Rest in peace Harris.
