Nicely done! Looks great and an absolute improvement over the original to my eye.
Thanks for sharing it.

One of those Ukranian Souvenir pipes. I had two of them break on me. be careful with the shank and stem. I like what you did to it, although I'm not normally big on rustication. Looks nice :)

What you did looks great. I am in the minority here in that I liked the way the pipe look before you rusticated it; however, great work.

Hey welcome aboard. Good stuff. What did you use?
There's some good pics online if you google image search "rustication tools". Downright medieval stuff.
I tried to rusticate a old Grabow I was restoring. It came out "alright" but I learned a bit of what not to do.
Nice to meet you!
OH dude, about the wax....
A little goes a LONG way. If it's anything like the Halcyon wax, you have to be careful or you get dried white gunk in all the nooks and crannies.

Big improvement. Don't ruin it by waxing. Pipemakers wax pipes to make them shiny & appealing so they will sell. You already bought this one and don't have to make a sale. Wax degrades the taste.

Welcome to the forums Matt. Beautiful job, huge improvement.
You could also try linseed oil instead of wax.
