I'm surprised we haven't heard from Deathmetal singing the praises of his beloved Yacht

I find RY a lot like my English Mastiff; once over the initial odor, there a lot of sweetness and profound strength

What leaf in RY gives the pepper taste?
I asked that question right after smoking RY for the first time. Here are the answers:

By the way, that spiciness goes away after keeping it in a jar for a while.

Hmm... the first time I smoked RY around me wife she said, "Hmmmm... cigarette juice, rabbit piss, and 11 secret herbs and spices". I couldn't tell whether she liked it or not. She's the same one that said upon transgressing my smoke cloud of GLP Gaslight, "Did the dog express his anal glands again?" Hard to tell when she's being serious... or maybe not!

Now that's both an endorsement and some limerick material!

Isn't clever marketing a wonderful thing?  Had they named the stuffing Dead Man's Socks, it would have been an instant failure, but give it a zesty name like Plum Pudding Afternoon, Mulberry Delight or Royal Yacht, and the mind tells you that it HAS to be good, and it is just up to you now to cultivate (screw) your taste-buds around backwards until you're convinced you really love the stuff! :puffy:

There exists a certain blend known as Royal Yacht

Whose notoriety is mostly a distortion

But when the Dunhill hacks

Give their tobacco line the axe

The Yacht will become a legend of mythic proportion

I don't really get a plum flavor from RY. I know that it's topped, I know the common "knowledge" is plum. I don't think of perique either. Dark Virginia's and African Virginia's keep me coming back to the Yacht. It almost has a burley thing going on, the topping offers a sweet strange chocolate coffee aroma after the bowl has been lit for awhile. I don't know, Perique? Not even close.

Yep. I have always described it as a VA that smokes like a Burley. I believe that is why I like it so much.

Would it be this one John?
There was a young woman from Bude,

Who went for a swim in the nude,

But a man in a punt,

Grabbed at her elbow,

And said "Hey, lady, you can't swim here, it's private property."
Well, no, not quite!

Paraphrasing:
The young woman from Bude,

did something whilst she queue'd

Said a man in the front,

Sniff, sniff, I smell punt

Like that, aloud: How rude!

toobfreak opined:

Had they named the stuffing Dead Man's Socks
Had they named the stuffing Dead Man's Socks

At sea, the former lad's hammock weighed with rocks

Would have been absent the boots, pipe and socks

Today, we just say Royal Yacht SUCKS.
