Made the CORPS Show on Sunday. Introduced myself to Bob & Kevin. Sorry to have missed the others on Saturday. Picked up an Elliot Nachwalter estate and raided the C&D table. Talked to Rad Davis, Russ, always the fount of information. John Eels was in rare form, met Paul from Park Lane got tobacco from him & Russ. had a BALL! Looking foward to next year!!!!

Should take the day off tomorrow & enjoy my treasures but I'll get to them Monday evening.

Could kick mysef for not meeting the others in attendance on Sunday. have to waer a name tag next year.
Funn

I got a good deal on the rack. I see a similar one on ebay for about the same amount, so I at least avoided the shipping costs and the wait. But it's full already, so I guess I'll have to keep my budding PAD in check, or I'll have to go get another one.
As far as the pipe goes, I guess I won't really know if I got a good deal until I smoke it, but I'm happy so far. I checked ebay for that, too, and it looks like I could have paid about 2 or three times as much online. So, unless it explodes in my face when I light up, I'd say I got a good deal.

Chuck and I chewed each others' ear off for about an hour I think. It was real enjoyable.
Sorry we missed you Fred. :-(
I think we left around 1:30 ... and I didn't get home until 12 hours later (grrr), but that's another story.
You got a nice Savinelli, pipe rack and tobacco though. Thanks for the pictures. You got some pics I didn't get.
It was great to meet you Brian. Hopefully next year you can come on Saturday and enjoy more of the festivities.
@duncan

Ugh, wish they had a show a little closer to Jersey so I could make a day trip out of it.
There is a show coming up in Jersey in December.

Hey Funn, it was great to meet you!
Maybe we will have to make up some PM.com membership badges or something members can wear at shows.
Here's a new thread on that:

Minor sidenote: I noticed that there's already a "Fred" on here, so to avoid confusion it might be easier just to refer to me as "FV", or "Vegas", or "Fredvegaserino", if you're not into the whole brevity thing.

Awesome was wondering when that was this year I believe there was a show in March. I will mark that on my calender and start saving my pennies (don't want to dip into xmas money). Are you going to make a showing to this event Kevin?

Nice pick ups FV! I really like that Savinelli! Sorry we didn't get to meet up. By that time we had pretty much called it quits on working and I was running around like a kid in a candy store, lol.

I was also at the C&D table checking out some of their blends while they were packing up. Thanks for posting the photos.
It was great meeting Charles (Funn), Brian (Colonelmcmuf), and Chuck (Chuckw)!
Brian, like Kevin said; hopefully next year you will be able to make it down for Saturday as well.
Although Chuck wasn't smoking a pipe, he did show us some of his Peterson pipes. I really liked his green Peterson.

I enjoyed the CORPS Richmond show, after all, I was able to display my hawkbill collection and say hello to old friends. Receiving the two awards was also great. Rad Davis received a well deserved "Best Pipe in Show" award, and the competition was tough.
I did come home with 2 GGG-84 CAstello hawkbills (donkeynuts) for the collection, plus a pre-hawkbill french pipe from the 1920-1930 era, and one made by Alberto Bonfigoli for the show.
