Got there around 1:00, right about when everyone was starting to pack up shop. Saw a bunch of really nice pipes, and got my eyes opened to the prices one could pay if one were so inclined. I thought a couple of hundred would be the upper end. Boy, was I wrong. I think the most expensive pipe I saw there today was in the $2400 range. It was nice, but I don't imagine I'd ever drop that kind of coin on a pipe.
I got myself a Savinelli Punto Oro Mister G to add to my collection. I like the shape a lot.
I also picked up a round pipe stand with 7 slots, labeled for each day of the week.
I stood around the Cornell & Diehl table for a bit, wondering what I should get and Pam was nice enough to come around to the front of the table and talk to me about some beginner tobacco. She apologized that they had already started packing up most of their display, but she showed me an open can of their Mocha tobacco and tried to give it to me. I forced her to take at least
some money for it, and I think we both walked away happy. I'll definitely be ordering from them online.
I'm pretty sure I saw Bob from across the room, but when I got through looking at some pretty sweet solid black pipes, he was gone.
Of all the pipes at the show (and I'm sure I missed plenty, only being there for the final hour of the final day), these are some of my favorites:
Sorry for the long post.
