I got it to restore antique waffle irons and just tried it on a pipe one day. Been using it ever since. It’s basically just jellied ammonia.Great job documenting the process.

I love the stampings on the stemI thought I’d do a little write up of a light resto I did on a turn of the century C.P.F./KB&B Chesterfield oval shank billiard I did. I got this pipe for a song on eBay. C.P.F. Are somewhat uncommon and this one was made sometime between 1898 and 1920ish.
