Vegas Baby!!!
Here’s a pipe I picked up that I enjoy the style of because it has a removable bowl.

I date the pipe to the 1920’s or 30’s.

The airway was completely clogged/blocked and the removable bowl was frozen in place.

As I first attempted to push a thin Falcon pipe cleaner down the stem to check for a clog, a small section of Amber popped off. This obviously changed the trajectory of the cleanup to add a repair.

No worries. I’ve repaired stems before and thanks to GeorgeD I learned marine epoxy is the best.

I then resumed the bowl and with patience and Everclear (for the pipe) slowly worked the problems out and freed the bowl.

Then I cleaned the bowl with paper towels, dental picks and Everclear

Finally I reattached the broken Amber piece to the stem, but a call from a client made my attention turn away and the stem didn’t go back perfectly so a little sanding fixed that at the end.

The first pic is of the pipe as purchased. The rest are mine showing my ham fisted work.

This pipe sold at a local estate sale for $75 paid cash by the eBay seller who turned around and posted it on eBay the following day.

I've never seen a pipe like that. Thanks for showing it and your work. I guess these meers would never turn golden brown. I wonder whether that was perceived as a benefit or an unfortunate consequence.
