Regular Rotation?

I have a two pipe rotation. Peterson Standard System 303s, one smooth, the other rusticated so I can tell 'em apart.
I have other pipes, but my brace of 303s seem the do most of the heavy lifting.

I can certainly understand that.

I took me a while to understand that I don't really care for latakia. I just never reach for it.

I like the Virginia flakes and light on the per vapers. I'm well stocked on gawith best brown and his fancy sister fire dance. Some escudo, Astley's 44 and Orlik golden sliced. Also salty dogs and Peterson's plug.

Recently I've been getting into the HU vapers, sunset flake and krater plug.

Always only kept 2 blends on hand for lengthy periods, occasionally changing them up. But, there currently are only about 4 blends I like now that I'm back in my dislike-of-latakia phase. The 2 I'm now using are Bayou Morning and Oriental Silk. Do like my perique.

the trick to finding the stand up blends is not so much where the peak is but more how consistently they're enjoyable. Yorktown is probably my main smoke. Other blends have wowed me harder but there aren't a lot that pretty much every pipe full is highly enjoyable.

I just have never found anything like Skiff Mixture. It almost seems like Skiff mixture is one thing, and all other pipe tobacco is another. I don't understand why it's so unique to my mouth.

there are certainly some blends like that. Erinmore is the first that comes to mind. That weird herbal floral, exotics fruitiness.

I'm somewhat new to the whole pipe smoking scene by a few months now however, I have noticed that I will smoke certain blends all week, and maybe a few times throughout the week I'll feel adventurous and try a new blend and see if it'll be added to my favorites. I still have a good amount of unopened blends I need to try in my cellar.

I've been enjoying burley flake #3, pegasus, and HH rustica lately.

FMOTT was one of "those" blends for me.
It was marvelous stuff!
