Maybe in the utopia where people search and read first before knee-jerk blasting off the same question for the 500th time that day.
95% of problems can be solved by just looking and/or reading the directions. Like, I am on a Harley forum and people ask dumb stuff all the time, the answer to which is usually in their basic owner's manual. I will never understand why people be like they do.
Sometimes, I find it hard to believe people breathing lead from TEL gasoline used computers with less power than a modern solar calculator and hand-stitched together memory were able to send a space ship to the moon. Like, how have we not died off as a species?
Great post!!! It's something I've been working on under the microscope as well. Similarly, all white samples I have examined have been micro-crystals. My theory is that they are simply chemical and or/mineral deposits that wick mostly to the margin of the paper bag/insert over long periods of time (i.e. older/"aged" tins). I was going to book a friend/scientist at our local U for microprobe, but the SEM time is about $500/hour! No thanks. Would still love to answer the question: What type of crystal deposit is it, exactly? I like your idea of salts. The white micro-crystals on my Balkan Sobranie taste... salty! Others don't taste salty and also have a different crystalline appearance. (Yep, I taste random crystal deposits on baccy. Life is short, right?) Really look forward to reading more of your thoughts and analysis.
