Just got some Autumn Evening in the mail today too, and am smoking a bowl in an MM Mark Twain. You 're in for a treat!

I'm this close to pulling the trigger on some Frog Morton's on the Bayou, Mississippi River, and another aro.

Just ordered some Frog Morton's on the Bayou, Mississippi River, and Trout Stream.
I received my tin of Cult Blood Red Moon and Cornell & Diehl Autumn Evening. Both smell amazing! The C&D smells like butterscotch and pancakes. The Cult smells like a Tootsie cherry lollipop. I only had a few puffs of the Cult and my goodness, it is good stuff! Thanks all for recommending it!

DownR4ange: Let us know what you think of Autumn Evening. Like many others here I also have been smoking it alot lately especially now my tongue is tougher and can finally handle those sugary red virginias.

@ltstone, I smoked a bowl of the autumn evening today. I love the stuff. So far no tongue bite at all. Plus my colleagues love the room note.

Thomas Radford's Sunday's Fantasy.

You can like it or not, but just open the envelope and sniff: it is worth the money.
Forgot about this.. it's very tasty.

Boswell's aros are top notch. Also Pipe Works & Wilke have some spectacular aros. 4Noggins is another good 'un for aros.
When I first began smoking a pipe, back in the 1960s! I smoked a lot of Green Sail (ugh, what was I thinking?) I soon switched over to some of Edward's Pipe Shop aros. Too much tongue bite.
I got into Vas and burleys pretty soon thereafter and have been in that realm mostly since. I love VaPers and VaBurs, and I gotta say that Frog Morton's Cellar is astoundingly good.
There are some great choices here for the novice and veteran alike.
Smoke on!

This Mississippi River and Frog Morton on the Bayou..... My goodness... I guess my story mirrors most here. Start out with aromatics, and move on to non-aros. So I get my order of MR, FM OTB, and Trout Stream today (which is wonderful as well). First thing I do is pop the tins and bag of Trout Stream. The tin notes of the MR and FM are soooo good...
Upon first picking up the hobby, I never knew there was a difference between aro and non-aro. I thought all pipe tobacco was cherry flavored. As you can see, I asked about aromatics here and purchased some amazing aros based on your recommendations. I happened across MM965 and took such a liking to it that I noticed I wanted to smoke that more than the aros. Who knew I'd like English blends above aros? Wow. Now, I'm getting ready to pack a bowl of this MR... Will report back on what I think.

My wife loves the smell of trout stream. Satisfying personal flavor preference, I lean towards Sillem's Black or Frog Morton Cellar.
