I have to say I still wear mock turtlenecks. I like them.

I will say, plaid is not all bad. One piece in the outfit is okay.

Popped collars on polo shirts....
Nike Supermans, and most Air force ones..
Doo rags...or even better is Doo rag AND baseball cap at same time...
Flat brim baseball hats. It's the rockabilly style with ears tucked IN the hat...
Work clothes as fashion. Ben Davis, Dickies etc..
I live in a pretty thick gang area so most of the fashion is for identification or peacocking behavior of which group your in. You won't see a Norté wearing same team as a Sorrenio, or a Sharp wearing same colored laces as a Peckerwood. But all seek out the rediculous fashion, just different color variations. No need to wait till the next decade to laugh at them. They caw to eachother all day long here. The fashion here is already laughable.

That Eleganza ad is almost dizzying in its leap into unwearable fashion. The clothes look like costumes for

a science fiction movie. Amazing. I wonder if there was ever more than one guy who showed up at an event

wearing this gear. It might have worked at a Star Trek convention. Somewhere in a warehouse there might

be boxes full of those clothes awaiting the return of that fashion cycle. I hope they have something in my size.

I officiated high school basketball for a while, and the state officiating group made us ware those awful Sansabelt pants. I had never even heard of them until then. They looked awful...styling and 100% polyester. Anyone that's ever watched a HS or college basketball game knows what I'm talking about. In defense of the pants, they did what they were supposed to do. I didn't have to wear a belt, and I never had to pull-up my pants despite running up and down a basketball court.

I agree with a lot of this; however, somethings are old modeling outfits that men have never really worn, and some seem to be the personal preference of the author. Like gym shorts out of the gym or flip flops. I have never heard anyone complain about gym shorts. As fir flip flops they are fine during summer and were made popular by pretty much every clothes store in the mall. Also what the author calls mandals are not mandals, those are still flip flops. Mandals are those bulky sandals that you buckle or velco in.
