Blends to keep:

507C
515RC
Blending Latakia
Blending Perique
Maryland
Blending Turkish
Blending Smyrna
White Burley
Green River Cavendish

There are a few other blending tobaccos I would recommend, but I strongly encourage STG to keep these product lines. I am sure there are a few more essential blends that B&Ms, home blenders, and micro blenders would also recommend, but the above list are ones that Sutliff provided that I and others found to be essential and key to working up with other blends.

I imagine Sutliff Frosty Mint will be on the chopping block. That is sad - most people really are unlearned about how it can be used to add a nice kick to other blends.

Thx.

If the deciding factor for what stays and what goes from Sutliff's product lines is that they sell 1,000 pounds or more a year I'm hoping that a lot of their blending components will remain, since it seems like the majority of smaller blending houses in the US make use them so I'd imagine that they move the volumes required to stick around.

Outside of the Virginias like 507C and 515 RC-1, the one blend I'm really hoping sells enough to stay is Pumpkin Spice. I'm not usually much for wet and goopy aromatics, but man do I ever enjoy Sutliff Pumpkin Spice in the autumn; and I suspect that it's the main ingredient in Straus's Sleepy Hollow.

Do you know the fate of the rolling machine and cutter at the MacBaren facility that make all the roll cake/small coin cuts in their portfolio?

Are those big enough sellers to move the equipment to the STG Denmark facility or are they all likely to be culled as too finicky to earn space in the combined factory?
It’d be nice if the MacB equipment adds to STG production, but keep in mind they already make P Stokkebye and Newminster rolls.
