Question Regarding Signature Rule

I would rather see whatever signature each member chooses for themselves. I personally don't care what others do with, as I see it, their own space.

Here's how I see it. This site is chock full of photos of pipes, tobacco, accessories, etc. So why does a few photos in a few members signatures make so much of a difference? The only time this slows the site down for me, is when I'm using my mobile. I don't believe this site was developed for mobile. If I'm using my computer, which is 99% of the time, I rarely have an issue. If Kevin and the mods make it a rule to shorten the size, so be it, it's their party. I just think it adds a little more fun and flavor.

We have never done that here. I don't like it myself.

We haven't updated the rules in 3-years. Here's the latest update.
Signatures
Signatures may contain up to five lines of normal sized text OR a single image that is no more than 300 pixels wide and 150 pixels tall in size, and can have up to two lines of small sized text. The font size of signatures should be normal or small only.
Content in signatures should be consistent with normal writing and abide by the general forum etiquette.
Text and image links are not allowed.
Animations are not allowed.
Remote signature images must have a consistently high availability to ensure page load times are not affected.
Animated images are not permitted.
Avatars

No animation is allowed in avatars.
