Question Regarding Signature Rule

My avatar is NOT a gif, but I don't mind those who have them (need more cowbell). I resized my signature pic because people didn't like the giant boats and had limited bandwidth. I went with a SMALL gif in the signature because I like that particular one. I have tried to be accommodating.
I don't own a fancy car, a boat, or a private jet. I don't have cable, satellite, a DVD player or Blue Ray. Hell, a year and a half ago I almost didn't have a place to sleep at night. What I DO have is BANDWIDTH and a large Mac. I was upset we were no longer allowed to post videos because people don't have bandwidth. You know what, that is NOT my problem.
Do what you will, this dude will abide.

I love the gifs. It's 2016!! How much trouble can they really be causing?! If some people are annoyed it's very simple to scroll and move on. I read a lot of opinions here I don't agree with - instead of bringing out the pitchforks or complaining to the mods I just scroll on... A reasonable size is fine but it's nitpicking when you get down to "I'm annoyed by moving photos!"

I have strong feelings on both sides of this issue. I think there should be a size restriction put in place but, that it should be neither enforced nor publicized. :puffpipe:

Thanks for asking our opinions Kevin. I say leave em. Sure, they might be annoying, but if we kicked out the annoying people there wouldn't be anyone left on this forum.

No disrespect to Georged, but to put half a million into perspective, there are over 300 million people in the US alone. I'm willing to bet money half a million wrote, "Deez Nuts" or other nonsense on their ballot this Spring. It's a half of a third of one percent, or something like that. I'm not a mathematician, I'm a gynecologist.

All day long most of us have to obey rules, it's how we get paid. While I may not love large or animated sigs, it's not really a problem to scroll past them.
The best moderation is the least. The fewer rules, the better.

Alright guys, there's no reason to bicker amongst yourselves. Just have you're say on signitures and move on. It's not a debate.
But, keep in mind that there are many rural areas that only have access to dial up. 20 minutes away from my house, you cannot even get cable.

No Wyfbane, it wasn't directed at you. Aren't gifs the moving pics? My avatar is a jpeg cat like yours (but not as deco and svelte), my signature is a gif. Also, I didn't mean to yell.

This describes my reality in perpetuity. When I joined this forum and was looking for a cat with pipe pic, I saw the one you have and was going to use it, then saw it was taken. I had to look far and wide to find the one I have. So, I admired and coveted your pipecat as the coolest. But now look at Georged's cat... Who's the serious little kittie???

I would be able to pull this off once. But, I'd have to get a new girlfriend as well. I like the one I have(girlfriend). I think I'll keep her(computer) and my spine intact.
