Question regarding marijuana ghosting in a briar pipe

I would not worry to much about the THC getting into your body. Clean it good, build up a new cake and you should be good to go. As far as owning a pipe that has had pot smoked threw it Eric. That is no big deal in California, marijuana laws are very relaxed. If you are just going to toss the pipe let me know before you do. I could trade you a tin of Mac Baren chocolate and honey for it.

You wouldn't go to jail for posetion but you would for drug parafanalia. Which would still be a felony conviction. Most likely it would be comunity service. You may not have much of a choice but to get rid of the pipe. Its unlikely you will get any effects from the thc oils in the wood with as much cleaning you have done to the pipe. Although I would suggest the baking method with charcoal.
When I was younger and had glass pipes you would have to boil it to get it clean of resin and smell. So the higher heat of the stove could possibly do it for you.

I don't know what the big fuss is. A little THC never hurt anyone. I would take it off your hands no problem. I just would smoke it only at home.

I do know ground coffee and water will get any smell out of a pipe, but your on your own getting the smell of coffee out of your pipe lol with that being said, I don't know if the pipe

Would test positive for thc or if you would after smoking it. I hate to say it but I would throw away the pipe. of course you could give te pipe to one of your friends with a *different* smoking hobby :p

Hmm, I agree in general, but I would be fired if I tested positive for even a trace of the stuff in my system, and I live in California.
So, it all depends on your situation. I suspect you can clear out the ghost. Does that mean you would test negative? As sensitive as the test are these days, I wouldn't risk it. However, if you're not in a situation to worry about that, I would go for it.

I doubt that you would show any trace of THC. Especially if you do not inhale when pipe smoking, I doubt it.
But, I would try the method that GLP has written about and was referenced earlier.

Yea I understand the job testing deal. I doubt you would test positive from the ghost but why risk it if you can ruin your career? Been there done that and avoided the stuff for 10+ years. I would not worry myself about testing myself because I know for sure I would test positive. I would worry more about the taste ghosting the pipe but I guess that depends on how heavily the pipe was smoked.

I have a pipe that was used for pot back in the 60s. I've done multiple salt & alcohol treatments with little affect. As for the pipe retort, this gave the best results and I'm still not done. I think in some ways, it depends on how much was smoked in the pipe. This was was heavily smoked and has taken many retort sessions and hours to get it to where it is now. I can faintly smell the pot, but the Everclear has taken a good bit of it out of the pipe.

I got a email back from walkerbriarworks.com (The ozone cleaner) dave said, "To tell you the truth, I don't know if Ozone will remove all of the pot odor. MJ resin is pretty stout stuff. we have never had a failure, but with pot, who knows.
The smell is like not at the most 75% gone, more than I thought it would be. I soaked the stem in Grey Goose vodka (it's all i had) and cleaned the bowl again...
I have to re-ream the bowl and take it down to the briar, there is a couple of small specks of carbon on the inside...
I'm gonna try the charcoal trick and see if that works???

It has a small brass band...The only issue is some chatter on the stem and the top of the bowl is nicked...other than that, it's a big, nice looking pipe...I have to save, it's too nice not to!!

Well, as I said before, if you can't get the smell out, I'll buy it off you. I don't care if a little THC is in the pipe. Odds are that the amount in there is so small, it won't affect you.
