I just noticed something in the OP. It may just be the quality of the photos, but the stem on that Stanwell doesn't look original.
BTW, I asked and the seller posted more photos in response: it IS the original Stem and the logo is there. He’s got it on backwards. It’s just so oxidized. It REALLY looked wrong. But, turns out it’s right.

I've been lazy in the past and let a caked estate rim sit in a very shallow pool of Murphy's Soap. Now that I don't fear running water and soap hitting the wood, I'd probably just scrub with with dish soap and a toothbrush.
