Question about Glass jars

I've used one of those press seal Fido jars with the detachable rubber gasket to keep my bulk tobacco in for a little over three years now. It's always kept it in good shape, and I've never had any trouble with it.

Intermediate term, 6 months or less, works well. Good for blends that will be consumed in that time period. Over that, the moisture loss is noticed.

Have to eat crow, just tested one. The silicone sealed bail jar filled with Haunted Bookshop (over 3yrs) stayed moist & aged well.

Yes,it's for a very long period,I don't like it...............I prefer this..........stainless steel clasp..........lid........

1+ on the FIDO bale jars. There are other bale jars sold in department stores etc. that are mostly for decoration. The have inferior gaskets made out of plastic.
