I think he needs to grow it out and embrace the Skullet
have you thought of lovingly teasing him with the term “friar tuck”?

I recently cut my hair which was down past my shoulders. It just became too much of a pain in the ass to take care of. It was thinning up top and I didn't care for the look. I also hated having to take care of so much freaking hair. All through my younger years I could grow a huge afro and back in the 70's and 80's I did have a huge hair band type hair do with my hair always down to my shoulders. Now at 63 my hair is thinning up top with plenty on the back and sides. I will eventually go bald I think and if I do I won't give a shit as I am already an old man in a wheelchair who has a live in caretaker and my days of chasing down trim are over. I had all the hair I needed back in the days when it counted. Now it doesn't matter and I couldn't care less if I go bald.
I grew up with a friend who started going bald in his early 20's and it really messed with his head and he had those plugs put in and those looked ridiculous and he was already married with a wife and 2 kids. I never understood why he cared so much since it obviously didn't bother his wife. Some people just have self esteem issues when they really shouldn't.

It's 95% attitude. if he feels good about himself, hair means nothing. Anger at others is most often caused by low self esteem. He is single. He was "popular" with women before his hair had enough of his head and started to fall off. He's in his late 30s, I think maybe it would be easier if he lost it younger as he would of gotten us to not having so much attention from women.
Ha, back then, he was a sparkle in my mother's eye.Tell Pablo hey

If this is the thinking, then your friend is going to have a serendipity when he realizes that not all women are like men. We men spend so much time on so many of the wrong things about ourselves. But, if he is afraid women won't be attracted to someone who is bald or balding, then he is in luck.He is single. Jnco and baldness don’t mix
Seriously. Learn to develop a fashion sense that befits the physical form. Then, carry yourself appropriately. View attachment 81733
Ha, Ha, it wouldn't be Palm Springs if she didn't.The lady on the left has very thick and black hair.
Just a thought. Invite your friend to Palm Springs. I know of some places where he might feel a bit more comfortable with men who, shall we say, have learned to deal with being different. I am thinking of the Barracks or the Tool Shed. Manly places where a man can be a man.
Oh no. It is named appropriately. There are men. They have tools. And they like to display them and let others handle them. What more could a gentleman want or ask for. They could also give him lots of hints on how to best use them and get the maximum benefit.Thank you. I am not sure he would be comfortable at a placed called "Tool Shed" that has a different meaning here.

Fair enough. I’ve worn a beard since 19, and if it fell out tomorrow, I’d bitch about it. But about the only situations I can imagine that involve me being clean-shaven also involve medical conditions severe enough that the loss of facial hair would be the least of my concerns. Someone fighting through that kind of situation gets all the empathy in the world from me.We see ego as being this evil thing, but we all have a self image. Remove something from our face or head and it is really hard to look in the mirror. Luckily for me, I can't see my bald spot without two mirrors, ha ha. But, I can totally empathize with someone who can see the bare skin on their head.
