It's amazing, the orientals in it are very nice. It is definitely on the mild side though. Very much worth a try if you're curious.
It's one of my favorites and SPC has it on sale.

I’m not much of an English blend smoker, and yet a few tins of this have snuck there way into my stash. If I was in US I would be grabbing some more while on sale (seems to get discounted a couple of times a year at SPC)
It bites the crap out of me but does taste pretty good while doing so. If you don't have the same problem, it's well worth it. It does a lot better for me if it has 5 or more years of age on it.
Very mild. It's technically an English, but the Latakia is barely there, even when fresh. I stock up and smoke it aged, as after a few years, the Latakia fades so much there's no smoke in the flavor, just a little leather in the aftertaste. A little more floral and sweet than McConnell Oriental or John Cotton No. 1.
I personally love the stuff. Great lighter English with quality Orientals in it as others have said. A must try in my book.
fan of this blend another one that gets better when it's dry as possible. Not a must have but very nice. Enjoy it when I smoke it. The tin disappears pretty quickly. O.k. truth be told if it was available in bulk I'd smoke more of it.
Another fan here. This, Father Dempsey and Nat Sherman 536 (now gone unfortunately) are my go to English Blends. Mild but tasty enough and burns very well.
I would sure try one tin before stocking up. I have an unopened tin, so I can't comment. I like some strong blends like OJK, Stratfordshire, Bayou Night, Semois, etc. But I also like mild blends in rotation, but it is highly subjective what is enjoyably mild and what is just dull. Presbyterian has many fans, but I'd try one tin and decide.
Nat Sherman is apparently being sold as Metropolitan. It looks like a rebrand. And yeah that's a great English blend.
It's very mild and completely wonderful! I have 27 tins in my cellar at present and will keep buying to ensure a good supply on hand.
I'm glad to hear kindly comments on Nat Sherman 536. I was introduced to it at the now closed Nat Sherman store in Manhattan, and it is about the most refined English blend I know, all the more because it has burley as a condiment. Really finely balanced. Maybe Metropolitan will bring it back, I hope.

I think the nat sherman pipe tobaccos have been sold with just the Metropolitan branding for some time. Per this article in halfwheel, Michael Herklots bought the Nat Sherman brands and is bringing back the cigar lines - prestige, epoca, etc - under his own company name this summer. Pipe tobacco may follow. Other than 536, I dont think any of their pipe blends were special.

Good thing their Metropolitan pipe tobacco is good, cause Nat Sherman Metropolitan cigars suck!
Mild but very flavorful. An excellent choice for first pipe of the day or for those who don't want to be hit on the head with latakia.
