Very interesting adventure working my way through CC 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006.
Smoking 2002 now and not as good as 2003. 2003 blew my mind, but who knows how much of this has to do with how these unopened tins were stored. In what environment. It’s interesting because the newest one has retained ketchup around the most. The others have aged into an aged tobacco aroma. So far rated in order of best to less best 2003>2001>2002>2006

I’ve come to see the brilliance as well as limits of Christmas Cheer. Some smokes are transcendent; some just good. Pipe and vintage and how stored affect it all. It’s not the “be all, end all,” but it is great stuff. After a while you get acclimated and it’s not as mind-blowing. It’s like I recall my first bowl of Penzance: mind opening, then just good.
