Thanks buddy, I put a pot of beans on first thing this morning, a roast is going in the oven as we speak.
It's 8 degrees outside and the north wind is blowing 27 mph gusting to 38mph.

It was almost 80 degrees Thursday Friday and Saturday. :mrgreen:

Down to about 30 degrees here in Little Rock, we are on the sounthern edge of this front so we wont get any snow but will get some cold artic air tonight. Looks like you will have plenty of snow for a few days. As far as the beans go, you can't beat a big pot of beans and cornbread. My wife fixes a pot about once every other week. Add a big bowl of turnip greens next to it and you have got yourself a meal.
Don't forget the Gas-X!! :laughat: 8O :crying:

I am just North of the worst of the storm. No snow happening here now . I am getting some pretty strong winds piling up what we did get though. Hope I can get out to take Mom to her appointment tomorrow. Right now it is 17 degrees but the wind chills have to be WAY sub-zero.

I feel for you guys living up north. No snow here in Florida, but I

lived on Long Island for over 30 years and know how it gets.

Stay warm, spring is just around the corner. Then I'll be complaining

Good pipe smokin' weather here in the St. Louis area -- if you're like me, on the inside looking out.

Nothin' quite like a warm cup of coffee and a pipe on a cold, snowy winter's morn.

It's colder than a well-digger's butt, but we dodged snowmaggedon.

The local TV weather folks had whipped the local populace into a frenzy, calling for the worst storm in 30 years.

Wrong again.

The storm dumped a few inches of ice, sleet and snow on the St. Louis area but veered north and west, before it headed up toward Chicago.

Interstate 70 between the western edge of metro and Mizzou in Columbia was shut down because of blizzard conditions last night.

However, we actually got more ice and sleet than snow.

The windchill is now about zero and will be well below zero tonight.

Good day to stay inside and make red beans and rice with cornbread -- and keep my pipe stoked.

This might be a 7-bowl day.
