A guy asked to borrow my pocket knife that I was cutting a plug with at The Briary, I closed it, handed it to him, and he opened it and stuck it right through his hand like a moron. I have absolutely no faith in someone I don't know under 50 with sharp objects.

What's the betting the tins are made in China? Everything they make is lightened and of reduced quality from the design they've copied to maximise shipping volume and profit. I'm not blaming GH. They're subject to the same economic realities as everyone else. But much as I prefer a square tin to a round one (mainly for nostalgic reasons if I'm honest), if these very thin and flimsy tins aren't sealing reliably and that's damaging GH's international reputation, maybe they should switch to round screw lid tins, or another design altogether.

Yes, I agree with you 100% on the tins. Last year they put their seasonal reserve in a round screw top tin.
