so if they are such a piss poor pipe.. why do you sell them on your site?
do you check ech Pete and send all the bad ones back or just hope they slide through to the great unwashed?

+1 Sablebrush. Who says that the drilling has to be dead center on the bottom. My Castello bent bulldog is drilled just like this. On a bent pipe, the condensation has to have somewhere to go, and if it were drilled dead bottom, it would be a gurgling mess. Go to a B&M and look at the high end bent pipes closely. You'll see that most are drilled just like this, ...the good ones anyways.

doc: Perhaps the price point is not sufficiently high and he is trying to steer customers to other pipes which provide a higher margin for him. Or, as in the camera where I worked now and the, certain brands had to be represented to validate the store.
Customers wanted to see a Hasselblad system on display and maybe a large format in a case. Then they felt reassured even if they were shopping for smaller format at a cheaper price. Peterson is well known and helps in establishing the store's bona fides for the new to the pipe customer. The elitists and the knowledgeable among us are looking for specific brands and need no such indicators.
