I was originally going to do the Cumberland, but once I saw the vanilla, it was just too cool. My next choice would have been blue.
I'm subscribed to waznyf's channel too so I posted a video response to one of his.

I was originally going for the cumberland as well, but when I saw the vanilla swirl I thought it would look really cool when the patina starts to develop..
Subscribed as well....

Another blackmetal refugee?
Yup! Just do my own solo projects at home though...I have a little studio set up, and when I'm not spending on TAD and PAD I'm spending on recording gear.
Next buy has to be one of those meers though, the more avatars that pop up with them the more the PAD takes hold...

Thanks for the likes and subs! I've subbed gunnar and waznyf, too. Any other PM folks subscribe and I'll do the same. I only had about 15 minutes to record. I uploaded and finished my pipe just before heading to work. If I do more videos, I'll have to make more time. The matches I used I got from simnettpratt at a Texas meetup.

Nice review, Baron. Makes me want one. If I hadn't just gotten the LVC, the order would be in...

Baron! Another hidden talent! (Well, not so hidden anymore.)

Thanks for taking the time to make the video and review the pipe. It's a beauty.

LOL Kevin! I'm just immature enough to have had a little chuckle with Baron's choice of vocabulary when his match blew out. Great review Baron! Still waiting on mine. Did you receive tracking information on the package when it reached the states? I don't know whether to keep running to the mailbox or constantly check my phone for an email.........unfortunately I've been doing both pretty frequently.

Yeah. I could have tried to be all cool and edit it, but it was unintentional comedy when I threw the match and dropped a precision F strike. "These are great matches!" (poof-wind blows it out) "@#$%!"

Meerschaums! Meerschaums in the North!
On a non-black metal, more serious note; I will look into these. I'm not huge into meers, but I really like the look of that pipe. And I could definitely listen to some Lord Belial whilst smoking one of these pipes.

As far as how to smoke, you smoke a meer just like any other pipe. Storient uses briar-type tenons and the stem is drilled out nice and wide so you can pack it tight. I have a Paykoc, which I have to pack light because the draft is so narrow. Every meer is a little different from the others, but the engineering on the Storients is pretty consistent in that way.
Meerschaums deliver a cool smoke and the flavor profile of any given tobacco will be different from a briar.
The only thing I would do different is touch the bowl as little as possible when it's hot. The bowl of a meerschaum heats up hotter than a briar which is how it dissipates the heat and it is more likely to absorb oils from your skin.
In my video, you can see I quickly change to holding the pipe by the stem once it's lit. Right about 4:40 in the vid.
