Hard no. And I love polymer stuff (My background is composite material engineering). Looks like one of those zinc die cast cheap nylon overmolds. Not much more to get true 7075 forged aluminum. I've built plenty of customs and the forged receivers can still be had pretty cheap.

I own a 18” Bull barrel version.

And the only reason it’s not 28” is they don’t make one.:)

Where legal, an Armalite rifle or carbine or pistol is a wonderful range toy and you get me too rights when the other boys bring out their ARs.

There is an excellent reason the Armalite 5.56 NATO platform is the long right arm of freedom.

It’s better than an AK.

When you put a boy on the front lines you give him the very best the wealthiest nation that’s ever existed under the sun can provide.

You own one with a ploymer upper and lower?

They make those. But my upper is pot metal.

I took my AR from completely all together to completely all apart.

The Great Saint John Moses could not hold a candle to Stoner.

But to be fair to John Moses, he only had 1900 manufacturing tech and 1900 ammo to work with.

The rotating bolt and barrel must be stern steel. Otherwise couldn’t you print one up in your garage?

I have these little plastic shims to keep mine tight.

But you don’t need them.

With the exception to the 'too much polymer' aspect, looks like a fun gun. If the zombies were ever in so close I needed something like that, I have a bullpup 12 gauge with 10 round mags I got for fathers day a couple years back. Because, 'Merica. It looks exactly like this:

I like lever guns and bolt action. My deer gun is a Ruger No. 1 in 25-06, which is a breech load, single shot affair. I think I mentioned that elsewhere here. Only semi-auto I personally would use hunting would be for wild boar, boa constrictors/pythons, or a shotgun for ducks, but I don't hunt ducks, so...

I imagine Zumbo got roasted a lot because he called them assault weapons. That isn't traditionalist and it is wrong. I feel for him, as it was an honest mistake.

As for me, I fully support the ownership of any and all firearms here and also support semi-auto hunting of invasive species, like the wild boar infestation.

The working parts are all metal. But this gun is more a toy than anything else. I’ve built from scratch many ARs. The traditional ones all had a plastic stock and hand guard. The tribute rifles actually used authentic parts - not replica parts. Plastic, despite what some people think, has a shelf life.

This is actually becoming pretty common. Personally I don't want a polymer rifle over 9mm, but to each their own. Polymer tends to flex during recoil, causing a rifle to be inaccurate. PS may have solved this issue, I don't know.
Polymer handguns are a different story.
