Loving the Pieter Claesz – Still Life – 1667. I'm pretending the fish are trout, instead of the herring that they probably are, so it seems more appetizing. Though, I did have some excellent pickled herring on two occasions, those little guys look roasted and darn fishy.
My favorite part of George Caleb Bingham's The Quandry is the right background. It reminds me of some of the dreamy twilight Twain describes in Huck Finn. Very relaxing.
