So a few folks asked to see pics of my office/library that I built in my home 2 years ago...in addition to pipes, I collect handguns..here are a few I have on display in my office, I also collect books...here are a few 1st Edition A.C. Doyle's that I have collected, with an early European Edition of Lord of The Rings...

Nice on all accounts! Guns are one of my main hobbies as well, I own about 30 total, I also carry every day. It's like an American Express, I never leave home without one (or two)! Nice bike as well, I also ride. Your man cave is amazing, puts mine to shame, lol! I also read quite a bit (A. C. Doyle and Clive Cussler are my favorites), but my book collection is nothing compared to yours.
Congrats on a wonderful set up!

Man o man, really dig the room, lots of things to sit and look at and have some great conversations in there.
Envious would be an understatement, thank for sharing, great stuff, all of it.

Thanks, I have my father's model 10 that he carried as a patrolman back in the 50's. It's still a sweet shooter. I have his 1911 too, not a 1911A1, it's a model 1911. It was made in 1913 and came home with him in '45.

I love the library and the books ! Did you make the shelves and the cabinets?

Well done NOLA!
Cabinets look really good, which wood did you choose? The finish is perfect. I just had cabinets make two years ago out of stressed Pecan.
Pistols are sweet. The 1911 is the most copied sidearm in history! I have several, all loaded and easy for me alone to access. With the cost today of ammo, I shoot my little Walther P.22 most of the time when I'm at the range.
The place looks comfortable and a great place to smoke!
Whose autograph on the pigskin?

Ever since I lost all my guns in a tragic boating accident, I enjoy looking at other's collections. Nicely done and hat-tip to the 1911s.

The wood I used is poplar..and did all the staining myself...I modeled it after an old time English library
