BTW, it is a smaller pipe, 44 g, compared to Nording free-hands that are huge. Rossi also has some affordable sitters, but bigger and not sure if in.

There are lots of options - it really depends on your preferences and what works for you.
And your budget.
This is a sitter, but not a comfortable clencher.
Cobs are a cheap option, will take some abuse. And if you run your mower over it, can be replaced easily.

These nosewarmers are very lightweight, but are not sitters. Easily a 25-30 minute smoke

This has a large bowl and is a very comfortable clencher but won’t sit.

These 2 Peterson Short series are good looking, but I don’t consider them work pipes

Short Lovats are comfortable clenchers. You can find ones that will sit. These are all under 5ins in length

Good to know. I’ll take a look at the Brulor as well. I’ve got quite a few smaller pipes. They often serve a need when time is tight. The Peterson 701 is the same shape but without a P-lip.
Brulor is a nice, smaller pipe. I like mine a lot. View attachment 411826
