Pipes Destroyed: Foul and Most Unnatural Murder!

Murder most foul! Indeed! What sort of violent individual does a thing like that? That's about as spiteful as it gets. I'm sending you a PM, and if you like, a couple of pipes to replace your deceased companions. As far as the perpetrator goes, the fleas of 1000 camels infesting his armpits would not be sufficient punishment. Quite frankly, if anyone did something like that to my pipes, that would terminate the relationship with that person. Not because the pipes are so valuable, though indeed some of them are, but because I don't associate with spiteful or vile people, and this would bring an end to the relationship. YMMV.

This is a sad tale of the worst kind of abuse. This person wanted to hurt you really, really badly. In your case it was your pipes while in others it could be their face. Terminate immediately. Take it as a lesson learned. I certainly learned that I must change the way my pipes are stored; 80-100 pipes in racks in a 5 sq. ft area. It wouldn't take much to destroy all of them if they were pissed off enough. Besides the pipes, which had some emotional ties, I hope you're doing ok otherwise.

You could always get your mind off of it if you want, by finding some more pipe art :D

You all have been very kind. And some have even offered to send me some of your own pipes. Please, no more offers! This generosity is overwhelming and a true testament to the character that can be found on this forum. I have accepted a couple, and that is plenty. Between having the loss of most of my pipes set in this morning and all of the gentlemen who came to my rescue, this has been more emotional than I ever could have expected.

Archy, I have an idea what you're going through. People came in my house and robbed me three times; another time, a guy (family) I knew wanted to hurt me, so came in and took all my software (maybe $5,000 worth, I'm a tech), and all my knives. I collect knives, he knew exactly what to take that would hurt the most. Knives were all over the house, but he found all of them except the one in my pocket.

That is just plain mean. Someone who is capable of that kind of spite needs some professional help. Anger management is something that needs to be looked into. I am sorry for your troubles and very proud to be part of a group who are some of the most generous people I have ever come across.

So sorry to hear about your pipes. I can take a lot of punishment, but if someone were to do that to my pipes, especially knowing how much I enjoy them, I would be literally heartbroken. Good to hear some members here came to your rescue. The people who frequent this forum are truly amazing.
