Looks like you are building a nice cake on that blade!My buddy’s a bladesmith, who smokes pipes. I wrangled a deal with him to do his take on forging me a 1095 Japanese nakiri for chopping tobak. I gave him the basic blade dimensions I wanted and he did the rest.

I usually use one of my OpinelsI should have clarified my reason for wanting a specific “tobacco knife” . I have plenty of pocket knives that I carry daily that are used for a number of different tasks. Some contain left over residue of said job. So having a specific tobacco knife is not only necessary but also just fun.
