I prefer flake but also like plug and robe tobacco, but flake is my favorite.
I thought all ribbon cut tobacco was for rolling cigarettes. Untill last year I discovered D&R blends like Ryback. Now ribbon/ shag is my favorite. Instead of spending hours drying out my tobacco, I get it nice and dry right out of the 1 lb bags.
I voted to see the results but I seriously can't be limited to one favorite. Shag, flakes, plugs, and so many more. It's all in the mood.
I agree I should have worded it with most used tobacco cut
To me shag cut is more like of the cut used for ciggerets and plug is like chewing tobacco.

However whatever I like is prepared would be my vote. I select by taste, cut doesn't matter.
Fair enough. Everyone is different. For me personally I feel different cuts give different flavor to my tobacco
Broken flake is my preference, although there is something to enjoy in each cut
Likely due to the burn rate of the cut than the cut itself.
Tie between coarse cut ribbon and flake.
Given the choice, I prefer the ribbon cut. It provides the most consistent burn rate for me without the prep time.
While I do greatly appreciate the taste and enhanced flavour that comes from Plugs, I find them annoying to prepare. That being said, most of my favourite tobaccos are Flakes/Ready Rubbed.

Flake. I believe that the tobacco in this format matures better and also gives me the opportunity to cube or ribbon it easily.
