Absolutely, beard and mustache note is a pleasant benefit. And my wife enjoys it, too.
Benn waiting a long time for mine to turn white and it still won't get there! I did have the color stripped out of it and my hair for a couple of years to turn both whit so I could do Santa Clause for the Shrine Children's Hospital, but it was to expensive and hard on the hair and skin to keep doing it. So now I'm just waiting on it to turn on it's own.

I haven't noticed any lingering aroma in mustache or beard. It may not be full enough to catch and retain the tobacco notes. Or it that we always have a slight breeze or high winds here and I only smoke outside so its blown away.
I told my wife I’m growing it out, it’s time to look wise when smoking my pipe.

As appealing as that sounds I shall keep to a clean shaven look....& one woman at a time.?
I grow a mustache for a few years at a time. My face is to narrow for a beard, or I'd look like a dissipated wizard. I did enjoy a little ghosting of my mustache with blends. Now it is kind of a pleasant change of pace not to have it. I had a mustache in the Navy because it was suddenly allowed; I had a mustache when my late wife was alive, and when I shaved it off, she wasn't aware what had changed; and I had one recently, but I announce to my wife before I shaved it off, and that was okay.
I sometimes jut my lower lip out until it creates a seam with the bottom of my mustache, so that when I exhale, the smoke will be forced to pass entirely through my mustache.

I did the poly thing for a while but I've gone back to the boring ol' serial monogamy lifestyle. As nice as the poly world sounds, it's hard enough keeping up with one lady as it is... Even polyamorous women get upset if you call them by the wrong name, especially if it's the name of the other gal you're dating.

I don't particularly smell my pipe tobacco smoke in my beard and mustache. However, I along with others. can easily smell the lingering smell when I smoke cigars. It's not an unpleasant smell to me, but some of the encountering others don't appreciate the lingering cigar smells.
I have noticed a lot of this 'beard' stuff going on with this forum!
