A prelude to a character I am considering creating. I want to call him a "Briarman" in reference to his affinity for pipe smoking. "He took to his pipe often and was commonly referred to as 'The Briarman' by the townsfolk."
We do have some pipers around here. I'm thinking they probably play bagpipes or meatfultes ( j/k I really do love all yall ). I simply play my kazoo and smoke my pipe. That makes me a kazoo player and a pipe smoker. Never heard of briarman though.
I can be his sidekick, MeerBoy. We can fight the evil King Cob together.
Th only trouble with that nickname is it would only make sense to someone who knows tobacco pipes well enough to know that Briar is the wood most commonly used to make them; EG a pipe smoker. General public would not likely make that connection.
But then if its for a character you are creating I assume its either for a story you are writing or for a role playing game. In either case, Briarman works.

LOL! I have a buddy that started calling me that and it has stuck within my close circle of friends, so here is one example. Briarman that is, not the meat thing...
