Watched 3 Body Problem on Netflix. A guy was killed by a Chinese radical. Was left on platform to rot. Daughter brought over his "favorite" pipe I presume and tucked it in his shirt pocket. It looked brand new and unsmoked.

Maigret starring the late Michael Gambon. He loads it, he lights it, he smokes it.
If you like Maigret, try to catch the French version with Bruno Cremer. Much more interesting in French. Also, English subtitles. Bruno Cremer has moved on to greener pastures, RIP, taken down by cancer of the toungue and pharnyx -- but not from the pipe. He chain smoked little Punch cigars all day. Diagnosed with cancer, he kept smoking them for several years until he died. Currently on MHz channel, available either via Prime or YouTube.

I watched The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare last weekend and there's a fair bit of pipe smoking peppered throughout. Nice to see in a modern movie (even if it's set 70 years ago). Recognized most of the pipes as Petersons, but one was probably a charatan or dunhill. Also a pretty nice dupont lighter.

Movie was pretty good. It's probably never going to make a list of the finest films ever made, but it was definitely fun... Good performances. Snappy dialogue and a whole lot of gunplay and stuff blowing up, all of which you'd expect in a Guy Ritchie joint.
