Yeah, I've seen some very old pipe catalogues that applied the term bulldog to only straights and Rhodesian to bents. Can't recall the makers now but 1 of them may have been Dunhill.In some circles, a bulldog has to be straight. When bent, with or without that diamond shank, it's a rhodesian. I follow the diamond shank=bulldog, round or oval shape=rhodesian group.
